Not-A-Craft-Day Day

November 7, 2009

This coming Wednesday, November 11, is Veterans Day, a U.S. holiday and many of you gentle readers may have the day off from work to honor our veterans. And what better way to celebrate veterans who fought for our freedoms by celebrating our freedom to make art and stuff?

I’m going to be home all day at my studio at the Brewery making stuff.  If you feel like making stuff, come on by. Let’s say anytime between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.-ish is good. It’s probably best to call/text/email me and let me know if you’re gonna come by. BYOS (stuff to make and snacks). Come for all day or some of the day.

**This is not in any way to be construed as or otherwise affiliated with an offical Craft Day(tm). This does not preclude any other arrangement I may have made with individuals on any other given days. No cash value. Void where prohibited.

  1. So it turns out that my veteran might be spending his first-ever non-working veteran’s day at the special leaf-spring mechanic in orange county and then at welding class. So if I do not accompany said veteran to said mechanic, I might actually come over to make stuff! However, I reserve the right to be flaky.

  2. I wonder where it’s prohibited. I feel like making void-type stuff there.

  3. To my surprise and delight, my husband is going to ask for Veteran’s Day off. However, if he does not succeed, I will swing by. I have many baby bootees to finish, and will need to be Bullied.

  4. I seem to have temporarily forgotten that we are a one-vehicle household. Husband has requested the use said vehicle for work, so I might be attempting to make my ambitious diaper bag at home by myself. Only two miles or so away from the official non-offical location though…

    • The 76 bus picks up at olive & 8th and drops off literally in front of the brewery. Not sure if they’re on a holiday schedule or not today. If you ride the bus over I’m sure we can find a ride home for you if it gets dark.
